FlexFactory Scope, Scale & Application
FlexFactory production trains are modular and configurable to meet a broad range of production needs, from cell culture through bulk drug substance. A typical FlexFactory train will feature two 2,000 liter XDR™ bioreactors. Assuming a 50% purification yield, an optimized process would produce bulk drug yields adequate for commercial production (see chart below).

FlexFactory will not effectively address products such as:
Large scale MAb's >100 kg/yr
Avastin, Herceptin, Remicade
E coli
insulins (tons/yr, high cell mass), interferon alpha's (low titers)
Mammalian
Enbrel (low titers)
