Strategic collaborations are an important part of the Xcellerex business strategy. Our business development objectives include:

Building a rich portfolio of biomolecules, sourced through partner in-licensing. We expect the first Xcellerex molecule to be in development by early 2009.

Promoting the adoption of the Xcellerex technology platform through risk/reward-sharing and creatively structured business relationships.

Partnership Interests

In-Licensing
Xcellerex seeks to in-license promising biotherapeutics and vaccines which have demonstrated proof-of-concept in Phase 1 or 2 clinical trials.

After evaluation by our scientific team, Xcellerex may pursue a joint-venture partnership with the molecule owner or seek to fully in-license the product for commercialization using our innovative biomanufacturing platform.

In particular, molecules currently delayed or on-hold for commercial/financial reasons may become financially viable through Xcellerex’s enabling approach to biomanufacturing.

Creative Deal Structures for Acquiring Manufacturing Capacity
The FlexFactory technology platform from Xcellerex delivers a new level of biomanufacturing flexibility and cost-efficiency that was previously unavailable in bioprocessing. The technology platform combined with world-class process development and manufacturing services also enable Xcellerex to offer flexibility in how our partners access the platform.

In order to provide interested partners with options suitable for their business circumstances, Xcellerex is eager to pursue revenue and royalty sharing, equity investments and other non-traditional forms of compensation.
